Cathy:
I want to THANK THANK you for coming out with this Puffy Basketweave Kitchen Towel. I remember telling you last year that we need this towel to accompany the dishcloth. Thank you so much for making the time to add that to your collection. It is appreciated! Keep up the great work you do!
Debbie, you're so welcome! Now, I may be slow..but my to-do list will keep me busy for about a hundred years...stay tuned for more!
So glad you're happy with this, too!
Cathy..
I don't know if it is me but could you check the pattern after Row 16... I added 16+16+16+8 and I came up with 56 rows and you have 80 rows listed... Am I reading double?
Can you help me here? I am in the middle of this lovely kitchen towel project but not sure about the rows...
DEB
17-80: Repeat rows (5-16) 5 more times for a total of 6 pattern repeats. Then repeat rows (5-8) once more.
1-4=4 Rows
5-16=12 Rows
(5-16)for a TOTAL of 6 pattern repeats = 12 x 6 = 72 Rows
(5-8)=4 Rows
4+72+4=80 Rows
Thanks so much Cathy for the help! Glad you were able to figure it out and get my fizzled brain straight!
Thanks a bunch!
DEB
Anytime Deb! Thanks for enjoying the patterns and taking the time to write so often!
happy knitting!
Hi there, I am new to making hanging towels, i did great till row where it says (k2to,psso)knit 7*4,
Do I knit 2together then just psso ,is the psso followed by a knit 2tog, then i repeat just the brackets 4*,or brackets plus k7 4*,
hope you can help me out looking forward to finnishing this project!!!!
Thanks Louise
Stuck on row 85. Ends with knit 8, but there is only 7 sts to work. Have 58 on needle. Frustrated. Is this a pattern mistake?
Row begins and ends with 8 sts. Should work well. Double check your counts from the beginning
on row 81 what does M1 mean
row 81 what does M1 mean
M1 = make One
Hi--I am wondering what the purpose of the solid knit and purl rows are after every 4 basket weave pattern rows? (Rows 9, 10, 15 16, etc) It seems it would be better just to continue the same pattern. Plus, I can't detect those rows in the photo. Thanks!
I’m sorry I don’t understand. What does make 1 mean?
It’s an increase stitch. There are several ways to make one. Please feel free to pick the one you like best.
It’s the added texture I designed and put into the pattern.
