I Love this Cotton! and now we wait...

The son has now, I do believe, finished taking the "Bar"....and now we wait to hear the results. And since he's now received his birthday gifts in hand, I can show you what needs to be typed up so you can have a copy of the pattern, too. That might take a few days...but...in honor of those "Boys in Blue" for the son who loves them...

This has been an 'interesting' knitting experience I tell you. I've knit the towel and dishcloth several times over. The first set came out with a 'mirror' image. I've never done that before! Left me cracking up over myself. So I ripped it out that time, then the next time my daughter and I both felt that the "L" didn't look quite right, after I'd ripped it out a couple of times, and had it all finished, I started the new set, which you see here, once more. So, give me a little time, and I'll have the patterns up for those of you who are also "Boys in Blue' fans.

I've started cousin #2's BSJ but got a 'wee bit' sidetracked when I went to Hobby Lobby the other day. Check out what I found!

That's right Hobby Lobby lovers. 2 new to me (and the stores I was in) yarns! First up, we'll look at 'I Love this Cotton!" yarn. This has GOT to be the softest yarn I've EVER knit up. I made the Butterfly cloth from the Baby Washcloths to Knit book by Leisure Arts. I thought in the Aqua color, it would be nice for Mom to use on her face. And boy oh boy, is it Soft!

I'm also thinking it would be perfect for chemo caps, baby sweaters and hats, anything you want out of 100% cotton that needs to be soft! At $2.99 a skein for 100 g/3.5 oz, I think this is quite affordable.

Then I found their "I Love this Yarn!" in a sport weight yarn. Now, I just picked up a couple of skeins, but they say BSJ sweaters for babies to me! Yes they had more colors that I picked up, but this will give me a good try at this yarn. This is only $1.99 for 70 g/ 2.5 oz for each skein. Can't wait to get some more things off my 'to-do' list so I can give it a go.

Hey...I'm here to help you find your next set of yarns to add to your 'to-do' list. Honest! ehehehe...hey, maybe they can give us group rates at the yarn 'collector's' old folks home some day. But until then, it's my job to let you know of the new stuff I find. I like the company in the check out line! Come and join me! (please bring coupons).

Oh, I myself have just recently discovered this wonderful yarn too. How do they make it so soft? I bought all they had of the beigey color and am knitting up a cabled wrap with it. Let's hope it washes well!

sigh. And I promised myself no more cotton until I knit up some more dishcloths. But this baby stuff has me intrigued!

And congrats to your son for taking the bar!!!

Hi, that yarn sounds so interesting.
We don't have a hobby lobby here in NY state that I know of.
Who manufactures the I Love Cotton Yarn
Thanks, Ellie

The colors in the "I Love This Yarn!" are beautiful and rich. At the store, they told me that people were really liking it because it washed well. So, I dove into my first Celtic cable sweater project. It knitted well and was beautiful and warm. However, after just a couple of wearings, it is fuzzy and pilling badly. It's still warm and the cables distract admirers from the pilling...

When will we see the Boys'in Blue patterns for us Dodgers fans? How did you mirror the image? Can you give me some hints? Your assistance is appreciated.
