Still trying to wrap my head around...

Oh, ya, I'm hooked-big time. But I'm still having trouble wrapping my head around some of you who have commented and are just that good, to get your socks down to 10 stitches per inch! Oh, my goodness! And here I thought 7 was freakin' fabulous! But I think I just might have a clue why...
The other project that I've been working on? Is with size (US) 15's (10.0mm)-just a 'wee bit' larger than these (US)1.5 (2.5mm) sock needles! Learning to get the right 'feel' of a much smaller gauge has been an interesting journey. So.much.more.to.learn!
I say, Bring it!

That's a huge difference. Curious - what was the logic behind urging you to get 10 sts per inch for socks? Inquiring minds want to know.

Your socks are looking Great! I know what you mean about going from size 15 needles down 1.5. I had been on a sock-knitting kick for so long that when I finally started knitting with size 8's, it felt like I was knitting with telephone poles. LOL!

Jennifer, after the post about finishing my Mom's socks, there were a couple of comments left and some emails from people who regularily knit socks with 10 stitchs per inch! Yikes! That's teeny! Especially compared to the (US) 15 needles I've been using.

Knitty Sue, go back a couple of posts and you'll see where I started it, it's the lace rib from the little box of socks pattern. And thanks for reading for so long!!!!!
